I decided in January 2014 that it was time to do something about my lifestyle. As a communications officer and a graduate student, I spend a lot of time at the desk and therefore I suffer from pains in the back, the lower back and in the neck. In addition, I had stress symptoms such as insomnia, restlessness and difficulty concentrating.

I was well aware that it would be a break from various bad habits if I were going to change my life: procrastination and bad excuses. This is why I chose to get a personal trainer and I couldn’t have wished for a better one than you. With a good mix of loving ‘stick’ and a diet plan including more than a carrot, I managed to lose 7 kg in 4 months and I got in better shape than I have ever been, since I was a teenager. I have rediscovered the great feeling of being able to run 5 km without any breaks in less than half an hour. I enjoy being able to eat delicious food that I make from scratch – and with good planning, it actually takes no longer than preparing ready meals. And not least, I enjoy my new, slimmer and younger look.

For me, the way to a healthier lifestyle hasn’t been a dull, starving and tough way with boring diet food, but it has been an eye opener to the world of delicious food with sugars, fats, vegetables and meat. For anyone who wants to lose weight, get in shape and have more energy without a lot of trendy fad diets and ‘magic powder’, I would highly recommend Mariam.
